Energy Boost is a character skill in the game For The King.
Description
Chance to gain additional action point at end of turn.
Effects
Energy Boost is a passive skill that will occasionally grant a character in the Overworld an extra movement point at the end of their turn.
Because Energy Boost triggers only once a character has expended all their available movement points, caution is recommended that players do not accidentally end their turn too quickly, without having noticed or used the additional movement.
Conditions
There are a few situations that exist where Energy Boost may not be able to trigger. The character must be traveling on foot (not in a boat or using the air balloon). They must not be poisoned or feeling lethargic. Finally, Energy Boost will not trigger on a Nice Day.
Chance to trigger
Provided the conditions are favourable, a random behind-the-scenes roll is performed to proc Energy Boost on a character's turn, using the following formula:
Essentially, the chance for Energy Boost to trigger is equal to less than half of a character's current speed stat.
