Description

The Cave Mushroom is an Uncommon and sometimes Rare Consumable in For The King.

Provided the Cave Mushroom is not a poisonous one, it will act similarly to Dead Lotus*, in that it can be consumed during a battle to negate a character's death up to 3 times. Otherwise, the character will be Poisoned.

*Note that, as with consuming dead lotus, the character will also be cursed.

Poisonous Mushrooms

Adventurers should be cautious when picking Cave Mushrooms, as they can oftentimes turn out to be poisonous. At first glance, the two are almost perfectly alike. However, upon closer examination of the item's description, players can see there is a minor distinction; notably, that some Cave Mushrooms are "perfectly" safe for consumption, while others are merely "usually" safe. It is also possible their rarity plays a part in identifying edible mushrooms.

Acquired

Cave Mushrooms can be obtained as a reward from the Shrooms Encounter in the Overworld. They can also be looted from a Dead Adventurer, found in a Field of Herbs, or purchased from Goblin Merchants in dungeons. It's possible that the Cave Mushroom can drop as loot from various Creatures as well.
