Description

In the golden years of Fahrul's history, King Bronner's peaceful rule brought prosperity to Fahrul. But alas, as His Majesty's reign neared its end, a dark cloud loomed. Vexor, the King's most trusted Sorcerer, turned towards chaos and violence, casting a shadow upon our land. After murdering the King in his sleep and razing the capital, Vexor fled to Harazuel, seeking to summon Omus, the God of Chaos.

In that dire moment, Queen Rosomon emerged, inspiring the Kingdom. Three unlikely heroes confronted Vexor and sacrificed their lives to close the portal. After their heroic sacrifice, a new decade of peace and prosperity dawned upon Fahrul under Queen Rosomon's wise rule. For many years, the land flourished in tranquillity once again. However, over time Queen Rosomon has become increasingly paranoid and now seeks to fund a mysterious project by taxing her citizens and enslaving those who cannot afford to pay. The Mad Queen’s intentions are unknown, but rumors from afar speak of altered landscapes, mysterious machines, and monsters not seen since the Chaos Wars.

Gathering in the shadows, courageous hearts have forged an underground resistance, bravely opposing The Queen’s regime. Overpowered by the might of The Queensguard many have fallen, and with that Fahrul’s last glimmer of hope is fading swiftly. Who will stop Queen Rosomon?

Description

The IronOak Logo

IronOak Games is an independent video game developer based in Vancouver, BC. Founded by industry veterans with multiple shipped titles under their belts, their goal is to revive classic gameplay mechanics with modern designs and features. Their first PC title, For The King, has over 500,000 players to date.

History of IronOak Games

IronOak Games was founded in early January 2015 by 3 industry veterans with the purpose of creating their first game, For The King. Their game designer, Colby Young, had previously been working on a personal board game called The Black Gate, which was heavily influenced by the Ultima series. Black Gate was unique in that it blended traditional tabletop mechanics with digital RPG mechanics, which quickly caught the attention of a loyal online following. After numerous years and countless playthroughs, Colby decided to bring the board game to life in the digital realm. Gordon Moran and David Lam quickly joined the team at which point IronOak Games was formed, and For The King was born.
