Description
Damage Reflection (not to be confused with the 'Reflect' status effect) is a status effect found on certain enemies. It causes melee attackers to suffer damage equal to the reflect value when their attack lands or is blocked. "Damage Reflection" does not prevent damage in any way, it is also not effected by the amount of incoming damage. Attackers will not suffer reflected damage under any of the following circumstances:
- The incoming attack deals magic damage.
- The incoming attack is a ranged physical attack. (bows, firearms, etc)
- The attack is dodged.
Circumstances that allow for reflected damage include:
- Mitigating the attack entirely with a high armor value.
- Mitigating the attack through magic, such as the Reflect status effect.
Currently untested circumstances include:
- Using cleave to hit a creature with Damage Reflection.
Party members can acquire this effect by equipping gear with the Damage Reflection modifier.
